Flower Fields.
As I mentioned in my Weekend Three, S and I got a chance to drive down to the Carlsbad Flower Fields right before it closed for the season this past weekend. He lathered on the sunblock — I didn’t, cause I don’t burn or tan very easily (which I see as both a curse & a blessing). Then we set out for a hike up the hill to see the vast & seemingly endless fields of flowers.
Loved all the cheery colors of the ranunculus against the blue sky! There were also a bunch of little rose & tulip gardens, as well as a human maze made out of sweet peas (which we were too scared to try haha).
I’ve heard of the tulip festival in Canada (which would be so awesome to see in real life).. are there any other flower fields/festivals I’m not aware of?
You take the most amazing photos. I alwaysleave your site envious. In the nicest way possible. :)
This is my first time here… I would said… I love your photos… :-)

You take such beautiful photos! I live in the UK, so I’m afraid I’m not best qualified to know about flower fields or festivals – I’d love to visit somewhere like this, it looks glorious.

Hello! I found you via Oh, Hello friend, and your blog is lovely! Can’t believe I missed this flower festival- I live not too far away in SD!

Love the photos! Over here in Michigan we have the Tulip Time Festival in Holland. I’ve been to Holland, Michigan, but I’ve never been to the festival. I hear it’s worth going though. http://www.tuliptime.com/
I second Joyce’s endorsement: Tulip Time (in a town called Holland!) is quite the event. It’s already come & gone this year… but look for early May next year.
WOW! What awesome pictures…
I love the hand-made wooden sign, you don’t see too many of those around.
Such beautiful pictures. I love the signs and the one next to it.
Beautiful photos. Thanks for sharing :)
Sorry about the shameless promotion, but I had a look through your blog and came to the conclusion that it’s actually very good and would be suitable for inclusion on mine. Check it out. I assure you, this is not spam :P

So pretty. I have a small obsession with photographing flowers. Mostly because they don’t move. Or complain.
