(A Very Late) Weekend Three.
So sorry for the absence — our household has been battling a slew of weird illnesses. Food poisoning, indigestion, stomach bug, and the like. But even so, we still managed to pack in a lot this past weekend.
One. Attended a sweet bridal shower at Balboa Park in San Diego. I’ve been to Balboa many times — I work just across the street from the park & we even took a set of engagement photos there. But this little cafe was a cute place I’d never been — the tables were covered in kraft paper, asking to be doodled on.
It was so sweet to hear the bride’s dear friend & mom share about her with such love & tender affection. My heart welled with joy for her. It was equally fun to see her blush at all the gifts she received, which came in the form of lace, bright pinks, and lots of florals.
Two. Watched Toy Story 3 in 3D with our friend on Saturday night. The shows were sold out until near 10pm, but we decided that we must watch it & stayed up past our bedtime! (I know, we can be so wild sometimes.)
Needless to say, as I’m sure you’ve all heard, it was an incredibly heart-warming & well-made movie. I shed some tears at the end as the story of these loyal toys came to a close. Pixar has yet to disappoint me.
Three. Visited my sister- and brother-in-law, as well as my little nephew Isaac. Got to hold the little guy for awhile and was absolutely transfixed by his unwavering gaze. His eyes are huge & the pupils so big & black, I could not tear my eyes away from him! And best of all, I got to make him smile a few times — his face lit up with dimples & an adorable gummy smile.
We’ve been enlisted to babysit him this Friday night & are so excited to see him again — isn’t he the cutest? :]
A little late, but what are your weekend three?
