Weekend Three.

March 29, 2010

This weekend was sunny, sunny. It’s truly transforming into spring weather. I spent all of Saturday in San Diego & was wiped out by the end of the day. But it was worth it. My weekend three:

One. Pulled off my first bridal shower for my dear friend Maria. Bunting, poms, ranunculus, and the like. You know, pretty things.

Two. Maria handed us these as a gift to her bridesmaids. Cultured pearls. Beautiful.

Three. After a very busy & packed Saturday, spent a quiet & restful Sunday afternoon in Corona del Mar reading on the grass with S. Enjoyed the ocean breeze and view & the step away from the busyness of life.

What are three things you did this weekend?

ohhh the decor looks really pretty from the shower. what was on the little cards that look like air mail envelopes?

they were little questionnaires for every guest to fill out about the bride — best memories, when they first met, why they thought she & her hubby-to-be are perfect for each other, & a piece of marriage advice. :]

Your blog is great! I love the three things weekend idea. Maybe I will give it a try myself sometime, but for now here are my 3 things: tried two recipes, bought cider and veggies at my local farmers market, tried some Norwegian food at a Tastes of Norway festival. It was a food-centered weekend, haha.

Ranunculus. One of my favorites. They are gorgeous, and so is the whole setup. Gorgeous!

Beautiful ranunculus and the wire basket too!

    (1) Saw “How To Train Your Dragon” with a group of friends; the sister of one of my friends did some work on the film.

    (2) Took a nice long walk around downtown Toronto. Haven’t done so in a while.

    (3) Spent some quality time reading as well but in bed.

It was cute and had a lovely moral to it. It was also amusing to me to have a bunch of Vikings with Scottish accents. Gerard Butler, Craig Ferguson and David Tennant were some of the lovely Scots who voiced three of the Vikings in the movie.
